Tips for Surviving Mercury Retrograde

As we find ourselves on the cusp of spring, notice how your body, mind, and spirit are experiencing a change of season - literally or metaphorically. What is shifting within you? As we experience longer days, can you tap into more light within you?

Spring is an awakening, a blooming, through fluctuating weather conditions. Nature is our teacher to see understand how timing is important with growth. A seed spends a lot of time germinating underground in darkness, before it sprouts into the light. The colder, windy days of a midwestern spring are a great time to keep nurturing our natural rhthyms inside as we grow towards the light, and emerge when conditions feel right.

At the same time, we have a flurry of turbulence in the climate of world events which creates a lot of collective anxiety. It’s really important to make time for self care, grounding, reflection, and clearing. Remember to use your favorite approaches to regulating and soothing yourself. It’s very integral to personal and collective wellness right now, more than ever especially while we have a lot of resources to support setting the tone for how we want to feel and what vibes we emit. There is a reason you are here during this time, and you have everything you need to feel safe and expand.

Astrologically, the planet Mercury is in Retrograde until March 20, with a shadow period to follow. Mercury tends to impact communications, technology, contracts, and large purchases. During this time, miscommunications will happen, things may break, transactions may not go smoothly. It’s not a great time to buy computers, appliances, phones, or take risks. You can do these things, but you will want to be extra diligent in reading the fine print, reviewing details, understanding policies and warranties. If you’re dealing with a touchy subject, be extra diplomatic or try to put off any difficult conversations. DO NOT hit send when you’re angry, annoyed, hurt, need to be right, etc.

However, it’s a great time to reflect, reconsider, reconnect, rejuvenate, restore. Reach out to old friends and clients, look at old photos, do some inner child work, revise your work. It’s a good time to slow down before you spring forward.

Old issues or patterns from the past may resurface. It’s a great time to shift them through energy work! Working with the inner child and ancestral lines is particularly impactful right now. A lot of my clients are experiencing beautiful shifts and upgrades to their energetic body during their sessions.

If this is something that you would like to experience, you can book a 1:1 session (online OR in person at Tribe Healing Arts) here.
